Easter Service
9th April 2018During the run up to Easter students at RASA enjoyed our yearly Easter service. This year we had a special twist with the band ‘The Plan’ coming into the academy to deliver the Easter message through the use of music!
We saw each house erupt with excitement and laughter whilst dancing and singing along to the songs along with having a time to reflect on the Easter message. A big thankyou to the band and all those involved for this fantastic opportunity.

Ski Trip
9th April 2018On Friday 30th March 15 students and 2 staff set off on a ski trip to Santa Caterina in Italy on a joint trip with The Vale Academy.
The students who went on the trip were outstanding, their behaviour and attitude throughout the whole trip was superb. The ski instructors and staff from Vale commented on this repeatedly.

21st March 2018The academy has received the following letter from Samaritan's purse following the donation of gift boxes by staff and students at Christmas:
To staff and pupils,
"A great big thank you for all your hard work and generosity in helping to fill shoe boxes for children at Christmas.
In Doncaster 5225 boxes were collected, checked and sent to Macedonia to children who otherwise would not have received a gift at Christmas. A total of 678,942 shoe boxes were sent from the UK to other countries. Worldwide, 11 mill

Young Achiever of the Year!
19th March 2018Congratulations to Archie Atkins Sloan who has won the Disability Sport Yorkshire Young Achiever of the Year Award.
He was in the same category as people who won gold medals at the World Para Championships last summer.
The citation about him reads 'This cricketer is an important member of the Yorkshire Terriers team, the first name on the team sheet. As a cricketer in the mould of Bairstow (Jonny and David). He has gone beyond dispability sport and also plays adult cricket for Haxey Cricket Club in the Lin

Regional Mock Trial
19th March 201811 Y8 and Y9 students attended the Regional Mock trials competition to represent the academy at the weekend and performed fantastically well with the judges having nothing but good praise. A particular well done to Sam Wilkinson in Y9 who was told by the judges that if he was old enough he would have been offered a job working as an Usher at Sheffield Magistrates Court.

Doncaster Youth Voice Summit
19th March 2018On Friday afternoon six of our student council representatives attended the Doncaster Youth Voice Summit to represent RASA. The afternoon was hugely succesful and allowed our students to put forward ideas and also take on board other ideas to help further students education at RASA and across Doncaster.
The students behaviour and enthusiasm was excellent and they represented the academy supperbly.
We look forward to hearing more about their findings.

8th March 2018Y7 have been designing posters for a competition to win an all expenses paid trip to Spain and we are delighted that Kaitlin Sim's poster has made it through to the final 5 shortlist for our region.

Netball Champions
22nd February 2018Congratulations to our Year 10 Netball team who went to the Doncaster Netball tournament held at Hayfield and WON!! This means they are the Year 10 Doncaster Netball Champions. They have worked really hard towards this achievement and have been a solid, consistent team since year 7!! They were unbeaten in their 5 games, winning 4 and drawing in the 5th.

Top of the League!
29th January 2018The DfE league tables have been released and place Rossington All Saints Academy 1st out of 55 similar schools nationally for the second time.
Following the recent Ofsted judgement of good; students and staff are pleased with the recent announcement from the Department for Education indicating the latest performance league table where Rossington All Saints Academy is ranked 1st when compared to 55 similar schools nationally and is the top performing school in Doncaster for the second year running.

Burrows 'Search for a Star'
19th January 2018Today our Year 11 students had an assembly with Burrows motor company. They learnt about a new and exciting apprenticeship programme “Search for a Star”. The programme is aimed at young individuals who are looking to kick start their career within the motor industry.
