  • Carillion Technology Challenge

    10th July 2015

    Students have been busy designing ideas for a monument that could be placed on a roundabout as part of the FARRS scheme.

    Carillion staff came in to the academy yesterday to judge the final designs and were highly impressed with all the ideas that were presented.

    The design by Lauren Hodgson, Emily Blunt, Jodie Cunliffe and Morgan Cook won the Highly Commended Award with the overall winners being Ellie Mai Battenbough, Darcey Lomas and Taylor Meredith.

  • Inter House Rounders Tournament

    22nd May 2015

    Last night students took part in the inter house rounders tournament and the turn out was fantastic!! Each house was well represented, gave 100% and showed some amazing sportsmanship skills. The tournament was extremely competitive and Irwin and Parks had to battle it out through two extra innings just to get into the final, with Parks winning by just half a rounder.

    The academy's catering will be managed by Chartwells Catering Services with effect from 1st June 2015.  This is an exciting opportunity and we are looking forward to the introduction of the new menus. (See below).
