  • Marvellous March!

    3rd March 2017

    Following the Fabulous February campaign we have launched 'Marvellous March where students can win prizes for good attendance.

    There are lots of chances to win.

    1 x Prize per House for 100% attendance for the half term (individual students) 1 x £20 voucher, 2 x Easter mystery prize.

    2 x Breakfast draws per House- Form attendance monitored for a fortnight, then winners announced the week after.

      

  • Employability Day

    16th February 2017

    RASA held it's third annual Employability day yesterday with all students involved in various activities aimed at preparing them for the world of work.

    Anona Philips, one of the business volunteers, commented: 

    "Students in the main have demonstrated positive attributes i.e. ambition, being courteous and friendly, lots of cheerfulness and extroversion were demonstrated.

  • New Bishop of Sheffield Visit to RASA

    1st February 2017

    The next Bishop of Sheffield was announced by 10 Downing Street yesterday as the Right Reverend Philip John North and we were delighted that he chose to visit RASA in his new role.  Bishop Philip had a brief tour of the academy and then had tea and biscuits with a number of students who were keen to ask him some very thought provoking questions.

     

      

  • Fabulous February!

    At Rossington All Saints Academy we are striving for excellence and expect a high level of attendance from all of our students.  There is a clear link between attendance and attainment in school, with those students who have poor attendance being less likely to achieve good GCSE grades, and more likely to not be in education, employment or training when they leave school.

  • KS3 Trampolining Champions

    24th January 2017

    Congratulations to Olivia Cope, Katherine Grice and Dannika Horn who competed in the Doncaster U14's trampolining competition last night.  They all performed superb routines with Dannika achieving the highest score in the competition after a flawless routine that finished with a somersault that was faultless.

    They are now through to the South Yorkshire Finals for their age group!

  • DfE Performance Tables

    The DfE performance tables have been published and we're proud to announce that the academy has been confirmed as being the top performing school in Doncaster for the new Progress 8 measure.

    The score of 0.4 for Progress 8 places the academy in the top 25% of schools nationally.

  • Accelerated Reader Update

    3rd January 2017

    Congratulations to students in Years 7,8 and 9 who have been devouring books since September.  They have managed to read over 9 million words so far this year meaning they are well on their way towards their target of 20 million words.

    Special congratulations go to Daniel Butler and Lukas Petravicious who were the star readers for their own particular years.

    Every time students pass a quiz they are entered into a raffle and this terms winners were Armand Miftari and Brandon Lewin.

  • Projection Event

    25th November 2016

    Last night saw a fantastic evening of celebration for students who have been working on the Positive Activities programme with staff from the Base, St Ledger Homes and Stronger Families.

    During the programme the students self made and directed a film which was then projected on to the wall of the academy showcasing their work and achievements.

    Today our students visited St Michael's Church to lay a wreath, remember and pay tribute to those who've fallen for our country.

  • Operation Christmas Child

    2nd November 2016

    Generous students and staff at the academy have been busy filling shoe boxes with toys, clothing, drawing equipment, toiletries and sweets in support of the Operation Christmas Child Campaign that is organised by Samaritans Purse.

    A superb 87 shoe boxes have been filled and will now be sent to some of the most disadvantaged children in the world.

  • Y7 London Trip

    13th October 2016

    Any students in Y7 who are interested in an overnight trip to London next July should collect a letter from the English Office.

    All deposits need to be paid by 18th November.

    Chartwells have advised us that the price of some items will increase with effect from Monday 3rd October with the details as follows:

    Meal Deal Increase by 5p from £2.00 to £2.05 

    Bacon Sandwich Increase by 5p from 95p to £1.00

    Cheese and Bacon Bagel Increase by 10p from 95p to £1.00

    Pizza Increase by 5p from £1.20 to £1.25
