Crucible Theatre Visit

BTEC Performing Arts dance and acting students devised a play to complement the Crucible Theatre in Sheffields production of "Amadeus". They examined the themes of trust and loyalty particularly in respect to the characters of Amadeus, his wife Constanze and his father Leopold.
We chose to use a talk show format to examine the relationships closely, the talk show audience formed a chorric response to the events as they unfolded in the talk show.
Both Mozart's music and more modern pieces were chosen to add depth to the work. We were the only school to fully integrate dance into our production.
The producers and some of the actors were struck by the focus which our production gave to the role and it's upbeat style.
