The art department is a forward thinking department that embraces old and new technologies in the pursuit of creativity. Pupils are encouraged to develop their own responses to given themes, artists and movements. Throughout the key stages pupils will explore and critique the work and processes of others whilst evaluating their own responses to final outcomes. The themes range from The Jungle a Henri Rousseau inspired project. The method of perspective drawing is explored using Salvador Dali as a starting point. Techniques and the Elements Of Art are developed throughout all projects and pupils are encouraged to take risks with ideas and mediums when developing their work.
