Dear Parents, Carers & Students

Changes to Leadership within the Academy

I wanted to write to you at the earliest opportunity to inform you of some recent developments that will mean a change to the leadership structure within the academy.  In recent weeks, I have been offered an opportunity to extend my existing role within Delta Academies Trust.   This development will require me to continue to support academy improvement within Rossington All Saints and more widely within the Trust, and as a result I am excited about the opportunities that arise for the academy moving forward.

Given that the change to my role will require me to work increasingly outside the academy, I am thrilled that Paul Tarn (Chief Executive) and the Education Advisory Body (Local Governing Body) have moved swiftly to secure Mr Burton to the position of Associate Principal with effect from 20th November 2017.  Mr Burton’s appointment reflects the high quality leadership present within the academy, and this capacity was acknowledged in our most recent OFSTED report where academy was judged as continuing to provide a ‘Good’ standard of education. This high quality provision has been further recognised following the release of this summer’s examination results, which placed the academy top of the Local Authority for the Progress 8 Headline Measure and equally  in the top 5% of secondary schools nationally.

Mr Burton will act as Principal of the academy on a daily basis and his appointment not only ensures stability, but more importantly, ensures that our impressive improvement journey to date is not only sustained, but further enhanced for the continued success of all our students.

In conclusion, I would like you to be assured that the academy will continue to thrive under the new leadership arrangements, especially when considering the huge commitment of staff, the engagement of our fantastic students and the support of you as parents and carers.

Rossington All Saints Academy is an incredible school, and we can all look forward to the sustained success arising from the opportunity that the new leadership arrangements will bring.

Yours sincerely

Jamie Lawler
