Curriculum

Across all subjects within this diverse faculty, students will have the opportunity to participate in a broad range of challenging learning activities in a range of learning styles, giving every individual the opportunity to succeed.

Students are encouraged to develop their skills in order to allow them to work and think independently and get the most out of their learning experience. Students will also have the opportunity to engage in paired activities and work as part of a small team across the different subjects.

In Languages students have the opportunity to achieve an FCSE (Foundation Certificate of Secondary Education) from year 9 or even year 8 for fast tracked groups, before progressing onto GCSE studies. Foreign visits & residentials in France & Spain support the learning experience. Students' learning is also further improved through working with foreign language assistants in small groups.

Within the vocational department students have the opportunity to study a broad range of subjects closely linked to real life employment opportunities and future career aspirations.
